I have no definite information on Joseph after 1880, however the 1900 federal census for Barry City, Barry township, Pike County, Illinois, lists a Joseph Dabney, age 38, born March 1862, in Illinois, both parents born in Kentucky; married to Lula, age 30, born February, 1870, in Illinois, both parents born in Maryland. This couple had been married for 13 years and Lula was the mother of two children, both living. Children listed in the 1900 census for Joseph and Lula Dabney were George, age 12, born January 1888, and Percy, age 10, born December 1889. In the 1910 census for Barry City, Pike County, George J. Dabney, age 22, and Percy C. Dabney, age 20, both single and working as cigar rollers in a “cigar store,” are living with their grandmother ?Susie Arnold, age 66. The “Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763–1900,” as seen online, lists a marriage date of 22 December 1886, for Joseph H. Dabney and Ellen L. Arnold of Pike County. I have no other information on the Joseph Dabney of the 1900 census.
